This presentation provides an overview of the process of performing transparent and reproducible systematic searches in multiple databases. We will go through the different steps, from test search to documentation of the search strategy. We will discuss what constitutes a good systematic search and show useful resources that can support you in your work.
This presentation is aimed at those who are planning to conduct an evidence synthesis, such as systematic reviews. This applies whether you are planning to perform the searches yourself, or with the support of a librarian.
To get the most out of the session, it is helpful if you already know the basics of literature searching, such as Boolean operators and the difference between controlled vocabulary and free text terms.
KIB Talks are held in English but we also speak Swedish.
KIB Talks
During the semester, KIB offers a series of KIB Talks open to all doctoral students, researchers and other employees at KI. The subjects varies and we add new topics regularly. See the calendar for times and registration. We are also happy to organise a KIB Talk (a workshop or a presentation "on demand") specially for your department or other. Please let us know what you're interested in!
Please be aware that the library will not provide a certificate of attendance for this KIB Talk.
