Workshop - Essential literature searching for your thesis or publication
This is a basic workshop aiming to improve your skills in database searching and to explore different search tools available from the university library. In this workshop we will discuss search techniques, databases and documentation at a basic, but not beginner level. The workshop uses the Pubmed and Web of Science databases as its starting point. The session will include demonstrations and hands-on searching.
This workshop is for doctoral students and researchers at KI. It is held in English but we also speak Swedish.
The workshop is free but you need to register.

Workshop - Finding sources for your half-time review, thesis or next publication
Do you want to make sure you don’t miss relevant articles in your subject area? This workshop gives you tools and techniques to find papers in a structured way.
The first part of the workshop is a presentation on how to search systematically in PubMed and Web of Science. During the second part, you will work under guidance with your own research topic.
To get the most out of this workshop, you need a well-defined research question and some experience with PubMed.

Presentation: Researchers – publish open access with prepaid APC:s
During this presentation, you will learn what you need to know to benefit from KI's open access publishing agreements with a wide range of publishers.
We will also briefly put these agreements in context, i.e. the international ongoing transition to open access through the repurposing of subscription budgets to fund open access publishing. There will be time for questions after the presentation.

Workshop: Activate your publication list and discover your publication metrics
In this workshop we will guide you through how to automatically create an updated publication list that includes the citation score, journal impact factor and links to the full texts, by using the KI bibliometric system. We will also take you through the steps how to register an author ID (ORCID). If wanted, we will also touch briefly on other metrics: article metrics, journal metrics, altmetrics etc.
