Different ways of publishing open access
According to KI’s policy for open access, researchers at KI have to make their peer-reviewed publications openly and freely available. This can be achieved by either publishing the article open access in a journal or by self-archiving the manuscript in an open archive.

The library has agreements that covers the publishing fees / APC's in full or partly, for several journals.
The FAIR principles
According to KI's open access policy, publications must, whenever possible, comply with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles.
