Who Owns Our Knowledge?
This is the theme for this year’s International Open Access Week (20–26 October). While preparing for this we remind you of a few previously published articles on open access topics.
In this episode we take a closer look at open science, why it matters, and how it can help us meet some of the major challenges facing research today. Discussing this hot topic are Lina Waltin, KIB, Patrik Magnusson, KI and Lars Nordesjö, KTHB.
A policy for open access to research data shall contribute to increased accessibility to research data and good research conduct, as well as promote good research data management at KI.
I would like to recommend Acta Logopaedica, a newly launched open access journal in speech therapy-related fields. The editor-in-chief and several members of the editorial board are from CLINTEC at KI. It is available on the National Library’s platform, Publicera.
There is a major ongoing project at KI aiming to create both secure storage and make available research data from KI in the future. This applies both to research data that can be published completely openly and also to research data that contains data worthy of protection that can primarily be shared only with metadata.
