By publishing data, it is possible to subsequently verify published results or investigate scientific misconduct. Data that is made available in a recommended and standardised way becomes well visible, searchable and citable.

KI Data Repository - publish your research data

The Swedish National Data Service (SND) has a system for describing and sharing research data called DORIS. With the help of DORIS, researchers can publish metadata about datasets, regardless of whether they can be made openly available or if they contain sensitive data, such as personal data.

Requirements of funders and publishers

Requirements of funders and publishers

In Europe and USA, researchers are more often required to publish scientific articles open access as well as the data on which the research results are based.

The FAIR principles

The FAIR principles

According to KI's open access policy, publications must, whenever possible, comply with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles.

Data repositories

Data repositories

In order to make your data available and publish it open access, it is recommended that you register it in a data repository. In this way, your dataset is also assigned a unique ID, a permanent identifier, also called a PID, which can refer to one or more objects.
