The Library's Data Access Unit (DAU) supports you in the process of publishing and sharing research data.
By publishing data, it is possible to subsequently verify published results or investigate scientific misconduct. Data that is made available in a recommended and standardised way becomes well visible, searchable and citable.
KI Data Repository (KI DR) is a data repository where KI researchers can store data. Access to data is regulated depending on what the data set contains. When stored in KI DR, the data becomes searchable in the Swedish National Data Service's (SND) research data catalogue.
In Europe and USA, researchers are more often required to publish scientific articles open access as well as the data on which the research results are based.
According to KI's open access policy, publications must, whenever possible, comply with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles.
A policy for open access to research data shall contribute to increased accessibility to research data and good research conduct, as well as promote good research data management at KI.
Are you interested in publishing research data? Data Access Unit can hold tailor-made workshops for research groups, departments and units. Please contact us at rdo@ki.se, and we'll be happy to assist you further.
