In Britannica Image Quest, find millions of images that are free to use for educational purposes. This includes use in reports, student essays, lectures, presentations and published papers. 

As of 1 January 2023, new resources have been added and others have been cancelled, here is an overview of the changes to the library’s e-resources.

Outside of regular opening hours, KI students and KI staff can use the libraries services and premises in Solna and Flemingsberg every day, 7:00-22:00. To make this work, we all need to help each other make the library a safe and pleasant place.

The calendar is now loaded with workshops, presentations and other useful events that you who are a doctoral student or researcher can take part in.

Do you enjoy learning through film? 

Between 16 and 27 December, the area called Lunden at the Solna library will be closed due to renovation of the floor. During this period it will not be possible to use the group rooms and the resource room. The entrance from the stairwell into Lunden will be locked. We refer to the main library entrance (Berzelius väg 7b) for entry and exit at all times. 

During 2023, KI will have a pilot agreement with AMA, the American Medical Association. The agreement will allow KI researchers to publish research articles with immediate open access with prepaid APCs in 12 of AMA's journals.

During the holidays, KIB has changed opening hours and services.

The Library website has new colours and new typeface. This is an adjustment to the updated visual identity that KI launched on 20 October 2022. 

The library gives you access to Visible Body, a resource which allows you to explore the human body in 3D. Visible Body provides animations, 3D models, illustrations and you can also test your knowledge with different quizzes.
