​The theme of International Open Access Week for 2024 will continue with last year’s focus on Community over Commercialization. Open Research Data is an area of Open Science that is gaining momentum. One example of an open dataset from KI that has already proved useful to researchers around the world is the CSAW-CC mammography dataset which was made openly available by Fredrik Strand’s research team after approval from the KI data protection office.

Publishing research data is becoming an important component of Open Science. The Data Access Unit (DAO) is a group of librarians providing support to researchers publishing their data. DAO sat down to talk with Malin to about her recently published article.
