They often lack transparency and quality control. These journals can undermine your credibility and the impact of your research, so it is important to avoid publishing in them.

KIB Talks: Swedish research funding and the requirements for open access in publications and research data (lunch webinar)

In this webinar we summarize what researchers should bear in mind regarding open access in publications and research data when they receive grants from the Swedish Research Council. Open access mandates of other Swedish research funders will also be addressed. In 2026 the Swedish Research Council will update the general grant conditions with more explicit criteria for open access.

It is aimed at researchers who are familiar with the platform and are working on intervention reviews, i.e. reviews that study the effect of drugs, therapies, vaccines, medical devices, procedures, or public health policies.
