Title: New perspectives in the treatment of gastric and esophageal cancer
Gastric and esophageal cancer are major health problems globally. Until recently, curatively intended treatment, mainly in the form of surgery alone, could be offered to a minority of afflicted patients. In the last years a number of important new treatment options have evolved and recently a new molecular classification was presented. These developments are now paving the way for more effective and less invasive treatments, which to a large extent can be tailored to the individual patient.
The lectures take place 12:15 – 12:45 in the library on Campus Flemingsberg. Students are invited to take part in a lunch time lecture on an interesting topic while enjoying a sandwich and drink (on a first come, first served basis). Sandwiches are served with most allergens and diets in mind (gluten, vegan etc).
You can also watch previous lectures on Youtube.
