KIB Talks: Virtual visualisation retreat

Does visualising your research often end up at the bottom of the to-do list? If you're finding it hard to find the time or motivation, why not try this two-hour virtual visualisation retreat via Zoom? This retreat is not a workshop or lecture; it's an opportunity to work on your own project.

Whether you're analysing complex datasets or preparing visuals for your next publication, this online co-working session provides a structure that may help you get things done.
What to expect:

  • Guided goal-setting at the beginning to help you focus your efforts.
  • Quiet, independent work time with regular breaks.
  • A short wrap-up to reflect on your progress and next steps.

Here are some tips to make the most of your retreat:

  • Choose a specific task in advance, such as cleaning data, designing a diagram, or exploring a new tool.
  • Gather your materials: Have your data, software, sketches, or notes ready.
  • Minimise distractions: Find a quiet space and turn off notifications.

KIB Talks are held in English but we also speak Swedish.

Instructions: This KIB Talk will take place via Zoom. A link will be sent to all registered participants. If you do not receive the confirmation mail, please check your Junk E-mail folder. Note! If you cannot attend the session, please cancel your registration.

KIB Talks – Visualisation Wednesdays!

During the semester, KIB offers a series of KIB Talks open to all doctoral students, researchers and other employees at KI. The subjects varies and we add new topics regularly. For nine Wednesdays leading up to Christmas, we will be focusing extra on visualisation from different perspectives! See the calendar for times and registration. We are also happy to organise a KIB Talk (a workshop or a presentation "on demand") specially for your department or other.  Please let us know what you're interested in!

Please be aware that the library will not provide a certificate of attendance for this KIB Talk.
