Taylor & Francis Read & Publish – an open access agreement for KI researchers
As a researcher at the Karolinska Institutet you can publish open access free of charge in 2,300 hybrid journals from Taylor & Francis!
Between Swedish research institutions and Taylor & Francis there is now a national agreement which entitles KI researchers to publish their articles open access in Taylor & Francis' hybrid journals*. In this agreement, the publication fee (article processing charge or APC) is already prepaid, since the agreement includes both the costs of the library's subscriptions as well as the costs of open access publishing.
The agreement covers the article types Original Papers and Review Papers and you can publish the article under a CC-BY license.
How do I proceed as an author?
When you as an corresponding author have a paper accepted in any of the hybrid journals (see list below), you will have the option to publish open access without any cost. You will also have the possibility to choose between the CC-BY or CC-BY-NC-ND licenses. We suggest the most liberal one, i.e. CC-BY. Read more: Why CC-BY?
Please contact Library Research Support if you have questions about how the Taylor & Francis-agreement works or about publishing in general.
* A hybrid journal is a journal that is basically subscription-based, but where individual articles may be open access.
