Publish open access without fees in journals from Springer Nature

Springer Nature Fully OA is a pilot agreement within the Bibsam Consortium where the research funders (the Swedish Research Council, Forte, Formas and Vinnova) account for 50 per cent of the publication fee during the contract period July 15 2019 – December 2021. The remaining 50 per cent is paid by each university through the university library. This means that researchers affiliated with KI can publish open access without fees in more than 570 fully open access journals from Springer Nature.

Imprints included in the deal:

  •     BioMed Central (BMC) (313 journals)
  •     Springer Open Journals (216 journals)
  •     Nature Research (46 journals, including Nature Communications and Scientific Reports)
  •     Palgrave Macmillan (1 journal)

The library already has agreements that provide KI-affiliated researchers with free open access publication in journals from BMJ, Cambridge University Press, Mark Allen, Oxford University Press, PLOS, the Royal Society of Chemistry, Springer Compact and Taylor & Francis, as well as several agreements that give discounts on the publication fee.

More information about our open access agreements can be found on the library's information page on open access.
