International open access week!
This years most spectacular week the International Open Access Week, occurs 19-25 October. At KIB we take the opportunity to push a little extra for open access as a phenomena.
Open access as a way to publish your article is now so established that every week feels like open access week, but we highlight this week by arranging two online seminars on the themes of Open Access and Open Science - you are very welcome to sign up for:
- 20 October, Presentation: Find supplementary data through Europe PubMed Central (PMC) and BioStudies
- 23 October, Presentation: Researchers – publish open access free of charge
Open access is perhaps extra relevant this year since KI is expected to adopt a new open access policy. More information about this new policy will most propably be announced later this autumn when the final decision will be made.
During the year we have put a spotlight on open access in a series of blog posts on The National Library of Sweden's recommendations for the change to an open access scholarly publication system.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions regarding open access or open science!
