Title: Spinal Cord Injury - a global health challenge
A spinal cord injury is often caused out of the blue, resulting in an immediate threat to life itself. Due to the unexpected nature of a spinal cord injury, health care systems should be ready to respond to all the complex problems associated with the injury. My talk will focus on the epidemiology of spinal cord injury around the world, as well as taking a glimpse into prevention of these injuries and health care systems.
The lectures take place 12:15 – 12:45 in the library on Campus Flemingsberg. Students are invited to take part in a lunch time lecture on an interesting topic while enjoying a sandwich and drink (on a first come, first served basis). Sandwiches are served with most allergens and diets in mind (gluten, vegan etc).
You can also watch previous lectures on Youtube.
