Distance student
By logging in to the library web site, as a student at Karolinska Institutet you get access to databases, electronic books and journals outside of campus. If you are living outside of the Stockholm area the library offers special services.
If you want to borrow books the library can send them to you without extra cost. This applies for students with address in Sweden outside the Stockholm area. Inside of the Stockholm area we will only send books to your work place address. (The Stockholm area include postal numbers starting with 1). The library pays for the postage of books and you pay for the return postage. You are responsible for returning loaned material. You can also order books from us through your local library. This service is free withing Sweden.
Loan periods
The loan period for course books sent to you is 11 days (instead of seven days if you are on campus). Re-loans are for seven days. The loan period for other literature is 21 days
