Order copies, loans or delivery from the archives
The library offers several ways to order photocopies and loans. Students, researchers, private customers with a Swedish invoicing adress and companies and libraries in the nordic countries are welcome to order from the University Library. You do not have to restrict your copy order to the material in our own collections. To borrow material from the KIB collection, search in the library catalog, MIKS and reserve the book there. Journals are not available for loan.

Order copy (free of charge for KI researchers and doctoral students)
We deliver copies from our own collection as well as from other libraries if needed. However, the majority of our subscriptions (even older issues) are available online and can be accessed directly if you are using a computer in the KI network.
KI employees and students can even access our subscriptions from off campus. Log in with your KI id from the library web page (upper right hand corner). You can find our material with links to fulltext when available in our library catalog, MIKS and our Journal list.

Delivery from archives/other library location
You can order an article free of charge from a journal located in the archives (years up to and including 2001) or located at another KI library location (years 2002-present). Articles are scanned in and the person placing ther order must then pay for the print out of the articles by contacting the library customer service. Unfortunately, we cannot send scanned articles by e-mail.

Order interlibrary loan/Suggest a purchase
Interlibrary loan can be done for books not in the KIB collection. This service is only available to employees, researchers and students at Karolinska Insitutetet. In addition, only employees can order books that are available at another library in the Stockholm Region. In many cases the library will choose to purchase a book for our collection instead of borrowing it from another library.
