Books
You can place a hold on a book if:
- The book is currently on loan to someone else
- The book is available on one campus and you want to have it sent to another (for example the book is in Huddinge and you want it shipped to Solna)
You cannot put a hold on a book that has the status “available” if you are picking it up at the same location. In other words, if a book is on the shelf in our library in Huddinge, you cannot put a hold on the book and then come to Huddinge later in the day to pick it up.
Books that are on the shelf are available on a first come, first serve basis.
You place a hold on a book in our library catalogue, MIKS. Log in with your name and library card number.
After you place a hold on a specific book, you will get an e-mail when the book is available for pick up. The e-mail is sent to the e-mail address we have registered in our library system. You have four days (excluding Sundays and public holidays) to pick up a book that has been placed on hold. We keep the books that are available for pick up on the “reservation shelf” in the library where you can find them arranged alphabetically according to the last name of the person that has placed the hold.
While the library in Huddinge is closed, June 26 - August 2, you can call or e-mail to make an appointment to pick up a book or copy of an article.
Call +46 8 524 84 000 or e-mail ub@ki.se.
There are boxes for returning books both in Solna and in Huddinge. Please leave your books there when the library is closed.
It's easy to renew your books. Login using your name and the barcode on your library card: My pages.
If a book can't be renewed, it's usually because someone else has requested it.
You can return your books at the library at Campus Solna, or at Campus Huddinge.
Daglån always has to returned at the campus where you borrowed it.
