Library card
As a KI student you use the KI card as a library card. When you want to make reservations or renew your books online or when you check out books in the self check out you should use the code beneath the barcode on the backside of the KI card.

The Karolinska Institutet University Library is open to the public.
Anyone who has reached the age of sixteen and is able to produce a Swedish ID or a document confirming that they are registered as an employee/student at a Swedish university may apply for a library card and become a registered customer. Visiting researchers/students are granted a library card during the time they are attached to a Swedish university. Besides an address in Sweden, they must also give an address in their native country.
For further information please see our Library service regulations.
If you lose your library card, or if your card is stolen, you should report it to the library as soon as possible. We will block your card, so it can't be used.
We charge a 25 SEK fee for replacing a library card.
