To print directly to overhead:

  • Choose "Print" to print as usual.
  • Click "Page setup".
  • Select the tab "Paper".
  • Under Papersource, select "Bypass Tray" in both boxes.
  • Click "Ok".
  • Click "Print".
  • On the copy machine, pull out the side drawer "Bypass Tray" and put in the OH film.
  • Print!

To copy to overhead, follow these steps:

  • Enter copying mode on the printer.
  • Press "Bypass"
  • Open the side compartment and put in the overhead film.
  • Press # to choose paper type.
  • Choose paper type (OH)
  • Ready to copy.

Too see your balance for printing and copying, you need to log in to your Cirrato page, or simply swipe your card on a Cirrato printer.

On your Cirrato page, two balances will be shown. One internal, and one from PayEx.

A Pay Ex-account is an electronic wallet that you use to pay your prints and copies at the library.
You can open a Pay Ex-account for free and as a KI student no fees are charged for buying products and services.

Important!
Before you acitivate your PayEx account you have to have an active email account to which your password will be sent.
If you have created a PayEx account before having active email account, you can order a new password at www.payex.com when your email account has been activated.
To be able to print and copy you have to connect your PayEx account to your KI card (students) or library card (external visitor). Follow these steps to get started

The reason you need to enter your personal number, or in some cases send a copy of your identification, is because PayEx is a bank and required by law to know who's behind an account.

Yes, you can make colour copies at any printer in the library and in the student environment. Simply choose "Fullfärg" in the left menu after activating the printer's copy function. See price list for current rates.

  • A4, 1-sided 0,50 kr

Printouts or copies for overheads requires special transparency film that you can by at the library desk for 3 SEK each. Only film adjusted for our copy machines/printers are allowed. Films can be copied and printed in color and black/white.

Exchange students need to submit a certificate (eg, KI card together with the passport copied on paper, or an official transcript from KI which is verified) to customer.support@payex.com in order to get a Payex account. 
It could take up to 24 hours before your PayEx account is activated.

Yes, you can print in colour from all computers in the library and in the student environment. Please observe that the default is 2-sided black and white. To print in colour, you need to set the print settings to colour manually. See the price list for current rates.

To refill your printer account, you need to deposit money into the PayEx account you used to connect to your KI card (or library card). Money can be added by bank transfer or credit card online, and is free for you as a user (read more about how to deposit money to PayEx).

Follow these four simple steps to get started if you haven't yet registered your KI card or signed up for a PayEx account.

To print on A3 simply select A3 as paper source in the printing dialog window. See the price list for current prices.

To be able to print and copy at the library and in computer rooms, you first need to register your KI-card/library card and create a PayEx-account. Follow these four simple steps to get started.

Print

  1. Select "Skriv ut"/"Print" on the computer and make sure that you pick the printer "followprint".
  2. Go to any printer and swipe your KI card against the card reader.
  3. The printer screen will now show a list of any documents you've printer from the computer. Tap the documents you want to print out and press the Print button, or Delete if you want to cancel the print job.
  4. Press Logout when you're finished.

The default when printing is 2-sided black and white. To print 1-sided or in color, you must select this manually when printing from the computer. See price list for current rates.

Copying

There are no general rules about printing and downloading electronic journals. Different rules apply to different publishers.

To print from your own computer over the wireless networks ki.se and eduroam, you need to download and install a client software.

A client for Macs is on it's way.
